  • AVID Tutorials in the Geometry Class

    Funded Nov 6, 2023

Thank you so much for your generosity. Teaching students to use rigorous discourse helps them deepen their understanding of challenging Geometric concepts. The whiteboards, eraser and chair will help me facilitate groups in my classroom for discussion and will help improve student outcomes. Your generous donation is very much appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Willis

  • Help Me See My Student’s Faces While I Teach

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

I am so thrilled to share that my project was fully funded within two hours! Thank you so much for your support for my classroom. I can not do what I do without people like you. I teach in a low income school, where students are often afraid to show that they don't understand and to ask questions. If I can SEE them while I am teaching I can gauge their understanding from their faces.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Willis

  • Creating a Hybrid Geometry Classroom

    Funded Nov 11, 2021

Thank you so much for fully funding my iPad project! It will go to good use in my classroom by helping me provide lessons to students at home when they are quarantined. The iPad will help provide a seamless experience. My students will be so very grateful for your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Willis

On a weekly basis, I have several students that are quarantined because of COVID or COVID exposure. Learning geometry from a distance is extremely challenging because it's so visual. I post our daily notes on canvas, but it's challenging for students to follow them without the verbal instruction. With an iPad, I will be able to video record my lessons daily to post them on Canvas so that those who are quarantined at home will continue to have the same access to material as those who are present in person. I can screen share the ipad to my computer and video record myself talking and presenting the notes at the same time. This will help me support students in a hybrid learning environment to the best of my ability. This will support all academic content standards as I will use it every day while I'm teaching the Nevada standards for Geometry.
