Arts Integration in Science!
Funded May 7, 2024I cannot thank you enough for supporting this project. The materials you helped to fund will be used annually by Ravenswood 7th graders! This is a project that allow students to apply content in various and creative ways. That is in part to your support.
The attached photos are from one student's animation project. She worked for 2 weeks to create a unique animation to teach people about how to stay healthy during a pandemic. She utilized the microphones to add voice to her drawn pictures. She is extremely talented and was able to truly showcase her comprehension of our immunology unit in a way that challenged her. She learned a new digital program as well as how to edit her animations.
Without your support, our students wouldn't have had this opportunity. I appreciate you!”

Funded Apr 16, 2023The young scientists of room 213 cannot thank you enough for providing them with options! We are extremely grateful to have the opportunity and privilege to learn in a differentiated and collaborative environment. These stools may seem simple but they afford all individuals a chance to move and fidget throughout their educational process. Chairs can be uncomfortable and without your consistent support that is all we would have. These flexible seating stools join our other options such as our rugs and pillow seating areas. Education is constantly changing! We are thankful that you were able to help us change our learning environment so that ALL students may learn!”

PVC Musical Instrument: Making Music the Wave Way!
Funded Nov 17, 2021Thank you for supporting our Engineering students! Our students had a fun time designing and building this pvc musical instrument. I enjoyed watching them work together, push each other, build leadership skills as well as build community together. This is all thanks to you! We appreciate your support! Our students also enjoyed using power tools! For a couple, it was the first time but definitely not the last. We are hoping to enjoy our instrument with the younger grades before it finds its permanent home. This hands on project encouraged all students to deepen their joy of science and apply their aptitude for engineering design practices. Students also questioned each other's design, pushing each other to test their hypotheses before actually building.
This project helped teach many the principles practiced by engineers, and problem solvers!”
