Learning to understand our American culture by being involved with a variety of artistic experiences will help bridge what is taught at school, to their home environment. Using the supplies I've requested, my students will have a more vivid learning experience. These materials will make my lessons more hands-on and personal. I hope that my students will always remember using unique materials and technology that will enlighten their understanding of our lessons. The activities that I will use these materials with are not just foundational lessons, but will help me broaden my student's understanding of my goals. The standards addressed with these materials include WK1-3 and WK 7-10 and RLK1-10 as we focus on reading where students look for key details, structure and retelling of the story. Students will be writing about their connections to the activities.
