A Sparkling Clean Learning Environment!
Funded Aug 2, 2023This year has been off to a great start. My new students have really embraced the routines and procedures of a new classroom and are really enjoying all the new perks of being a fourth grader! With that always comes a mess! The cleaning supplies you have helped fund this year have made my life as a teacher easier and has helped to keep my classroom neat, clean, and sanitized.
My students have learned new responsibilities that their families are very excited and impressed by. The students have enjoyed taking ownership of keeping their desks sanitized and clean. They have also taken on a new responsibility by using the windex to keep the windows clean. I would be remiss to no include how amazing the extra paper towels have been. We have saved the custodial members many trips to our classroom because we have the means to clean our messes.
So again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much!”

Funded Jun 3, 2023My students have absolutely loved the new and updated books in my classroom library. I have caught some of my students reading during teaching time. Which makes me so happy and excited! Some of my students favorites are the dog man books and the I survived books! We have also loved using the ball toss during math. Students toss the ball and have to multiple two digits.
These new materials have made my classroom more fun and the students have loved the new materials.
From the bottom of my heart, I appreciate every donor and every person who shared my project with your friends and family members. It truly takes a village and you are now apart of my 205 village. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!”

Funded May 4, 2023Thank you so much for always choosing to support my classroom and my students. Due to your generosity my class learned the importance of persuasive writing. My students were able to write a persuasive piece on why they believe we should have a class pet. Not only did this unlock new creativity, it supported a great classroom discussion. We talked about what it meant to be responsible, how to care for pets, and the benefits of having a classroom pet. The students were so excited to share ideas and work together to brainstorm key points to add to their writing.
After their persuasive pieces were written, we invited leaders in our school to listen and engage students in conversation about having a class pet. unfortunately, the year came to an end and we were not able to get a real class pet. However, this year we started the year with our class fish that was named Nemo.
I can't express to you the importance this fish has had on my class. I have had perfect attendance for 17 out of 20 school days. The students know they need to come to school and be responsible for their pet. There are no words to express that gratitude I feel and I am honored that you chose my classroom to support. It takes a village and now you are apart of our village.”

Funded Jan 23, 2023Thank you so much for supporting my amazing fourth graders and their reading journeys! This year we were able to utilize the November books a little later in the year, but the kids did not mind! Anytime a new book is placed on the shelf, they are beyond thrilled to read it! I have already begun planning activities for my upcoming fourth graders and can't wait to expose them to so many great new books! My goal is and always will be to provide new opportunities for my students and without you I wouldn't be able to do it. I can't thank you enough for always helping me and supporting me on my journey to make my classroom the most up-to date and exciting place to be!”

December Holiday Books
Funded Nov 30, 2022Thank you so much for your generous donation of December holiday books to my classroom. My students and I were able to use these books to explore different countries holidays during December. We spent the month traveling around the world learning about new traditions and different celebrations. The students enjoyed reading these books and enjoying the photos.
December can be a challenging month to keep students focused, but because of you it was the most fun we've had all year! I couldn't do my job without you. Thank you again, so much!”

Funded Oct 9, 2022Thank you so much for helping keep my students imaginations alive. Having these materials has made our reading time so fun.
I have seen students of all different reading abilities enjoying the fairy tale books. I have even had former students come back to ask to borrow them.
Having a strong library and facilitating a passion for reading has been my biggest challenge this school year. My goal was to ensure that there is a set of books that every student in my class can read and enjoy.
Thanks to you, I have started building a better and stronger library!”

Books to Support Social Emotional Learning & Math Literature
Funded Sep 29, 2022Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom and my students. With your donation I was able to implement math literature in our daily math lessons. Students have read fun and engaging stories to get them excited about math.
I was also able to add new and updated social emotional books to my cool down corner. Students have utilized these books while feeling sad or upset. We have also read some of the books to start conversations about how we are feeling and how our feelings can impact or daily activities.
I really want to thank you for continuously supporting my classroom. My students love coming to school everyday to our warm and welcoming environment because of your support.”

Funded Sep 29, 2022Thank you so much for supporting my classroom. Over the last few months my students have been able to use the bulletin boards that were purchased to display their work, refer to them for information, and hang up important reminders. They have been an amazing addition to the classroom and are used everyday!
The class carpet has made our environment feel cozy and comfortable. We get compliments daily about how relaxing and homey the classroom feels. The students use the carpet daily to move closer to the board, stretch their legs, do morning yoga, and complete their work.
Your contributions have made my classroom a better place. I cannot thank you enough.”

Funded Aug 10, 2022My students have absolutely loved using the STEM toys this year! I was able to substitute morning work and kids logging onto devices with your donation.
I have seen kids excited to come to school in the morning, excited to have the free ability to play and build, and have seen their imaginations run wild. Not only are these STEM toys helping kids build and create, they are assisting with fine motor skills.
My next goal is to incorporate the STEM toys into the daily curriculum. While this idea may take some time, my ultimate goal is to make learning fun and open students minds to creativity.”
