Due to Covid, students are struggling with the concept of being back on campus with other students and bridging the gap in academics and social emotional abilites, from being online during the pandemic. Being able to teach my students how to socially adjust to being in person and teaching them the skills to work independently. I am at a disadvantage of not having a rapport with them due to many of the students being new to my school. This project for Teachers pay Teachers gift cards allows for me to have access to creative curriculum and differentiated materials, for the various CCSS, in hopes of building a foundation for a strong relationship and a positive learning environment.
This is important. I learned that I needed more materials for the vast demographic of students. I am looking to fill the gap when it comes to their Academic, Mental and Social-Emotional health and closing the gap with their academics. What may work for one student may not work for the next. Variety is needed.
