These materials will make a difference in my students' learning by introducing them to the joys of reading. Many students are not a fan of reading; however, I believe that is because they may not have interacted with the right book(s). Additionally, some of the materials I have selected are intentionally scaffolded to help students in their literacy journey. For example, students who are learning English as a second language or students who are reading below their ideal lexile range may benefit from the graphic novels I have selected. My goal is to inspire a lifelong love of books in my students with the classroom library I am attempting to curate.
