My students deserve to have a great year after what was considered the hardest school year ever known. The materials that I have requested will not only bring my students joy, but will also help them feel excited about learning. The pop it toys will help me create engaging small group activities such as "sight word pop" and "letter pop". The sentence stems will help me give my students great visuals and help enhance the learning environment. Unfortunately, COVID-19 has impacted schools negatively in many ways. I have requested reading buddies to help students participate in partner reading to an adorable stuffed animal. Not only will they be able to read to the stuffed animal, but they will be able to stay safe from being too close to someone. This will help my kindergarten students love reading and keep them engaged and excited at all times. The pocket charts will help me display curriculum in a clean manner. As we all know, students all around the world lost a full year of education. That is a full year of creativity put on hold. The utility carts will allow me to organize their small group activities in a way that is easily accessible to me and my students. Lastly, the fidget toys will also help my students focus in class and will help minimize distractions so everyone can have optimal learning.
