Recently, I noticed students struggling with basic reading and writing skills and staying on task. This year has been hard because many of the students attended school virtually or not at all last year. The items chosen for my project will give students a more hands-on experience which is a more engaging way to learn. The hands-on items can lead to increased retention. The sensory products will help my students to stay on task. More time on task results in more success for students.
Students have been home during Covid with no-hands on activities. Student did not practice writing letters and words due to the pandemic. Students would love practicing writing with the LCD Tablets. The students will improve fine-motor skills and letter formation.
Many Special needs students are kinesthetic, tactile learner. These items will give them opportunity to explore, create, and demonstrate the learning.
