Funded Jan 5, 2022Sports are for life was a great impact on my student! From exploring different sport from badminton, basketball, and hockey. Student had the opportunity to try new skills they never even heard of. With your help and support may students found they have creative skills in sports. The reaction of some of my students faces when opening need equipment was great. The joy, excitement, and happiness. To feel that even though they can not afford it other people are willing to help and support them to explore new skills. The next steps for the students with the new sports they were introduce too is to make after school programs available for them to continue practicing those skills and passion. I appreciate it so much for the support from all the donors!”

Funded Dec 21, 2021The organized gym project was a great success because of you! Yes, physical education is a fun subject but many students forget it is still a class. Having the material to keep my class engaged in physical activity while having the support of visuals and note-taking on the walls. Students loved the images and colorful paper to put their work on the walls. The materials gave me the chance to turn my gym into a classroom, to translate their ideas and behavior in learning in the classrooms to the gym. The student needs organization even in the gym. It gave the opportunity to share health info in the gym and organized exit slips. We appreciated everything, from the neon-colored paper to the different colorful clipboards.”

Funded Nov 30, 2021Having the opportunity to bring excitement and life to the students' physical education class. By sharing my ideas through colorful activities. None of that would have happened without your donation. We appreciate all the support and love we have received. When I first saw the first donation be made towards the project, I felt like I was not alone. It gave me hope in pushing through to make a change in my school. The gratitude my students felt when they saw the new materials come in and change the gym. Excitement on their faces knowing they have support from others rooting for their education. The day the boxes arrived the students were static. Ms. Baena! Ms. Baena! What is that? What did you get? All the materials got the students very excited to try new and different activities. With the new parachutes, colorful cones, tape and balls. Keep students engaged and organized.”

Funded Nov 30, 2021As a first-year physical educator, I can't express how thankful I am. Having the opportunity to share my aspiration, and ideas with my students in the gym. None of that would have happened without your support. When I first saw that donations had been made towards my project I did not feel alone. It gave me hope in making a change and having support in the process. The gratitude my students felt when they saw the change in the gym with new materials. The excitement when having support from others rooting for their education.
The day the boxes arrived the students were static. Ms. Baena! Ms. Baena! What's in there? Woah! What did you get?. The excitement in their eyes was very pleasant and I thank you for that. Having the chance as a first-time teacher to see those kids thrilled for class made me smile inside as well. The great feeling of seeing box after box show up at different times was more suspense for them.
We have so many ideas that I was able to try out with the students because of the support! The materials are a blessing to the gym. The students love to come to the gym and stay active. Having a JBL speaker gave students more motivation and comfort. First week of having the speaker I had a list of requested songs. Students love to hear music while engaged in active learning, it was different from their other classes. Gave their brain a little break. My student already has a routine due to color-coordinated structure in the gym (blue team, blue cone, blue bean bag, etc.). Using the speaker as a behavioral management tool, when music is on you start and social interaction is ok at that time. Music off voice is off and eyes are back on the teacher for instruction.
The positive development of the organization and safe learning environment in the gym gives thanks to you!”
