The wonderful books that we will be adding to our library gives students an opportunity to expand their thinking and ideas and spreading their wisdom with the rest of the world. Just one book, one story, can positively impact a student, allowing them to make connections and feel like they can live vicariously through another character. With a very diverse class, I chose a variety of books that students can relate to and make their voice heard when engaging in conversations about these books. For most students in my class, reading brings them comfort, laughter, happiness, and knowledge as each page turns.
