Thank you so much for your generosity. Our students have benefitted so much from our sensory kits, our new weighted pup Patrick, and our calming stripes. Class 411 was so excited and thankful for their new tools to help them get through some long days. The sensory kits were placed in our sensory corners. Students were instructed that after they were done with their independent work, they had permission total 5 minutes to sit and enjoy some sensory time.
Patrick, our weighted pup, has had a blast! Students take turns taking care of him and we always say GOOD MORNING to Patrick. Students who need an extra hug that morning, ask to hold Patrick for some time through out the day. As for our calming stripes, students were all given a pair to keep at their desk. They are used throughout lessons or assessments to keep the students calm. Our students have benefited so much from these tools. They are excited for more projects in the future.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Acosta
