Expanding our classroom library will enhance my students' love of reading and history, while also adding to their content knowledge and skills. These books will be used as extension materials for students for when they complete lessons, or for students to freely check out and read at home so they can generate further interest in our history topics. It will enhance their practice of a plethora of NVACS Social Studies Standards, and below you will find a sample of the many standards represented by my selected materials:
