Quiet:Reading Zone Ahead

Thanks so much for your generosity towards my project. My students were very grateful! They were able to use the headphones for MANY things. One thing that they used the headphones for was to listen to books that were online. This was beneficial to my students because some of them are struggling readers. With the headphones, they could listen to the book and follow along with the text.
The last way my students used the headphones was when they took end of the year tests. There were certain sections that were read to them. Because if the headphones, my students ROCKED those tests and showed much growth! Thanks again!!”

This classroom project was brought to life by Panda Cares and 3 other donors.

These headphones will help my students drown out distractions while reading online and doing other ELA things on their Chromebook. They use a program called IReady which is an interactive approach to Reading. My students will remain engaged if they can listen to the videos/tutorials. Without these headphones, all students in my class have to turn the volume of their computers up and everyone hears the videos. My students can also use these headphones when they are reading books online in class. Reading is very important to their everyday lives.
