Nevada students are currently struggling with their mental health. I would like to offer them a place where they feel relaxed and comfortable where they can relax, calm down or meditate. The salt crystal lamp and sand manipulatives will help students who are going through a mental health crisis and help manage their thoughts and focus on their coping skills. I intend to use these tools to help my students learn better coping mechanisms. Students may use a stress ball to squeeze away anxiety; they may use coloring books to relax and focus on something other than the triggering event. These skills will become essential strategies for a lifetime of success. I included some organizational tools to improve student access to curricular materials. When students are in a better place mentally, they find it easier to learn and succeed.
