  • Laptops for Learning (Part 1)

    Funded May 10, 2024

Thank you so much for your generosity! The touch screen laptop have been a great addition to our classroom. My students are less frustrated because the laptops do not die within 20 minutes.

They are able to use programs like iReady, Get Epic, ABCya.com and so much more. They can fully concentrate & complete tasks by using the keyboard or touchscreen features. The touchscreen laptop have also allowed the students who struggled with using the mouse pad an opportunity to use the programs.

Once again we appreciate you & your generosity!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Matthew

They got to help select which resources from Teacher Pay Teacher they would receive. Students now have access to various resources to help them with handwriting, phonics, phonemic awareness, number sense, counting & cardinality and so much more. They are so excited when it is center time & I introduce them to a new activity. Thank you again... You are appreciated!!*”

  • A Magic Carpet to Learn On

    Funded Dec 31, 2023

Thank you so much for your generosity! We appreciate you for supporting our classroom!

The "magic carpet" has come as a blessing for my students. The carpet provides flexible setting for my students, many of whom prefer to be on the carpet when completing their assignment or during an assessment.

The carpet has also provide my students with a learning space for whole group during our Phonics block, providing us with a small and intimate setting for learning.

The carpet also serves as a learning tool for some of my students who struggle with learning the letters of the alphabet and matching the letters to pictures. For example, when calling students to the carpet, I would say " please sit on the letter that makes the /m/ sound instead of saying "sit on the letter "m"! Giving them an additional learning opportunity.

Once again, we appreciate and thank you for supporting our classroom.”

  • SNACK TIME

    Funded Sep 29, 2023

Class 101 would like to thank you for providing snacks to us. My teacher submitted a project to get snacks for our classroom. We were not sure if our project would be chosen for funding. When my teacher told us that our project was funded, we're were so excited. Then the boxes came in and we just screened because we knew it was our snacks.

My teacher opened the boxes and we were overjoyed to see what was in there. It was some of our favorite snacks. My teacher ensured that she picked snacks that we would enjoy

Because of your generosity, we are able to have snacks every day, which means a lot.

We are very grateful for the snacks you provided and would like to express our gratitude to you.

Again, thank you very much for your donation.

    Sincerely

    Class 101.”

    With gratitude,

Thank you so much for your generosity. Many of my students are from low income households and some are currently living in shelters. Your donation has help motivate my students to work and for the moment to leave behind them their realities of life.

My students now have items that will motivate them to work and succeed in school. They are very excited to get their prizes and each day, they work very hard in order to get the prizes. • Practice, Practice, Practice

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

Thank you so very much for your generous donation to my project. My students and I were extremely happy for all of the worksheets that I was able to purchase.

Your donation allowed me to purchase worksheets from teachers pay teachers that is being used for both homework and in class activities for my students. Students now have resources that they need to help with learning both in the classroom and at school. With the homework worksheets that were purchased, I am able to give the students homework which strengthen what they learned during the day at school. The homework also lets parents get involve and see exactly what their children are learning on a daily basis.

  • SHOW IT, SHARE IT, EXPLAIN IT!

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

Thank you for your generosity in donating to my class project t " Show it, share it, explains it". I have been able to use the Okiocam to project work onto the smart board for the students to see. It has helped tremendously since most of my students are visual learners. I wish it was possible for you to have heard the "ooh" sounds from them when the work was projected onto the smart board. They were excited to see it and it make it very clear to them what the assignment was. In addition, the Okicam is used to project students' work during math , when students are asked to share their work and to explain their thinking. Finally, as a teacher, it is so rewarding to have students come up to use the Okicam to share their work with their classmates.”

  • Ready, Set, Learn...

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

Your generosity towards my project "Ready, Set, Learn" has ensured that my students have the necessary supplies that they need in class to be successful. My students use their notebook to help with writing and letter formation. I have noticed improvement in their writing since using the notebooks. In addition, having a color printer has brought our work to light. No longer are my students looking at worksheets in black and white when it is so much easier for them to understand in color. Finally, using the beginners Try-write pencils has helped students to improve their writing since they have a better grasp of the pencil.”

The materials and supplies will be used on a daily basis to help improve my students learning. I know exactly where everything will go and what and how everything will be used. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! The 3 tier utility cart will make my teaching more efficient. Having the cart will wheels and storage area will give me access to my material while I am teaching. The paper, pencil sharpener, dry erase markers, and other supplies of the sort will be used by the students, so that they can work effortlessly. For example, because of covid, sharing items are difficult, hence my students will have their own dry erase makers and boards. I make a huge amount of copies for both classwork and homework, so the copy paper will be very beneficial for that purpose. I make copies from my home copier using a great deal of ink. The ink will ensure that I am not always dipping into my pocket to replace ink on a monthly basis. The donations to this project will help to improve my students' learning. We will use all these materials in our classroom to help us become better learners. As a new teacher, I want to give my students the opportunity that they deserve - to have resources that they need in order to learn.
