Engaging Math Learning Centers for K-2 Diverse Learners
Funded Dec 30, 2024First and foremost, my students would like to express our utmost gratitude for your contributions to our classroom. The materials have helped my students advanced in math (place value, counting, forming numbers) through sensory play. When we received the materials, we were just finishing our addition and subtraction unit. We were able to use the number lines provided to help with number identification, number formation, and adding within 5,10, and 20. We used the answer boards to support using ten frames and counters in addition and subtraction. We also use the counters as part of our morning meeting when counting to 100. The ice cream cones and bolts and nuts have supported my students with one to one correspondence and counting to 10.
Most recently, we have been diving into place value (hundreds, tens, and ones). We have been using the touch and match cards along with place value manipulatives to learn the quantity of numbers. We use the activity trays to show the quantity of our numbers and will soon begin to use them to compare numbers.
Lastly, I would like to once again thank you all for your contribution and the opportunities for growth in our classroom.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Batista
