Our students are high achieving students in math and science from all over the state. Due to the small nature of the school, there are limited extracurriculars and limited funding for those extracurriculars, but the FIRST Robotics Competition is one of the main and most significant ones at the school. The FIRST Robotics Competition team teaches our students how to apply what they learn in the real world while being mentored by college students and engineers through the process. During COVID-19, funding and space shortages at our sponsor university caused us to lose our shop space where we have built our competition robots for the last 30 years.  For this reason, to keep our long-standing FIRST Robotics Competition team going, we need to acquire new tools (like a laptop, microscope, and laser cutter) to use. We’ve started this project with the basic tools our team most commonly uses to create our robots, prototype designs, market our team, and continue to be creative. The laser cutter and microscopes would provide the necessary tools to generate custom parts and help with soldering PCB boards. The laptop would provide opportunities to design those parts and help market the team. FIRST Robotics Competition Team 190 appreciates your support in helping us continue to inspire our students and engage them in hands-on learning and education!
