KindergARTen and Beyond
Funded May 3, 2022Thank you for your generosity and willingness to financially support this DonorsChoose project. Your donation funded all kinds of art supplies for our kindergarten classroom: markers, Play-Doh, beads, feathers, etc. These are all things that may sound silly and not impactful, but on the contrary, they were tools that students used to mold, create, and discover in their learning.
You have made a difference in the lives of these kindergarten students. Many of them don't have the opportunity to use these art supplies at home, so I thank you again for being a part of their educational journey.”

Funded Sep 28, 2022Thank you, thank you, thank you for your willingness to give and help make our classroom a fun and creative place to learn and play. It seems like these days, so much of school is about assessments and scores (even in kindergarten!) I'm thankful to you for giving my students materials to engage in hands-on activities, discovery learning, and creative play.”

Kindergarten Data Binders
Funded Jan 1, 2022Thank you so much for your support and willingness to give to my kindergarten classroom. My little ones have so enjoyed using their new data binders to track their growth and progress.
We have used the data binders as a visual tool to help scholars see how far they've come and how much they need to progress in order to reach their goals in all academic areas. Some of the things we've tracked are letter names/sounds, nonsense word fluency, sight words, CVC words, counting to 100, etc.
Visual tools are everything in a kindergarten classroom, and these data binders have been so helpful in tracking progress and reaching goals this year! We're so thankful for your generosity!”

Kindergarten Classroom Library
Funded Jan 17, 2022Wow... just wow. I wish you could have seen the looks on my tiny humans' faces each time a package was delivered to our classroom with brand new books inside. Their eyes lit up, and their smiles were priceless.
Read-alouds are critical in a students' learning journey, and these fun engaging books have made my students so excited and eager to read more and more! One of their favorite parts of the day is reading these books. They especially love when I let them pick out which book we are going to read. I've even had students ask about getting a library card, so they can check them out and bring them home!
Your generosity and donation have helped inspire 20 students to READ and use their IMAGINATION, and that is a beautiful thing. Thank you so much for your support and willingness to give!”

Funded Nov 30, 2021Having a color printer in our classroom is a game changer!!! The tiny humans were so excited when it was delivered, and they love to watch it print off colorful classroom materials. The gift card for Teachers Pay Teachers has been especially helpful in finding differentiated materials and fun, engaging activities in all subject areas!
I have used the printer to print off bulletin boards, door decorations, and Teachers Pay Teachers resources for centers and classwork. As I said in my project description, "everything is better in color," and that is so true! Color belongs in a kindergarten classroom, and thanks to you, our room is happy, bright, and always colorful!
Thank you so much for supporting this project to help us get a printer and Teachers Pay Teachers resources. We are so grateful for your generosity and willingness to make a donation to our classroom.”

Funded Nov 12, 2021Thank you so much for playing a part in getting this project funded!! The Scholastic Readers have been an incredible learning tool in our classroom this year, and the students really enjoy them!!
At the beginning of each month, we receive four issues and we read one magazine per week. The topics are always interesting and engaging to students, and they always spark some meaningful conversation. Here are some of the topics we've read about so far: alligators, holidays and traditions, kindness, leadership, Arctic animals, seasons, and more!
I use these magazines to practice reading, identifying sight words, and observing how to write a complete sentence with appropriate capitalization, spacing, and punctuation. My favorite thing about these magazines are that I'm able to integrate social studies and science into my reading lessons.
The Scholastic Readers are a huge hit in our classroom, and I really value them as a teaching tool. Thanks again for supporting our classroom!”

Kindergarten Organization Tools
Funded Nov 2, 2021Thank you so much for your generosity and willingness to support our kindergarten classroom. The tiny humans absolutely loved seeing box after box being delivered to the classroom, and they especially watching me open the packages and seeing their new classroom materials.
The journal holders were a huge hit! Not only do they help with our classroom organization, but they also help make our classroom a bright and happy place. I had each student make a silly face, took a picture, printed them out, and taped them to the journal holders. Every visitor who comes in our classroom loves looking at them! Our mailbox and book bags have helped enormously with classroom organization as well! Each student has their own mail slot and book bag to keep their assignments and books in place.
My goal is to create a happy, organized, loving classroom environment for my kiddos, and you helped make this possible. Thank you so much again for your support!”
