If each student has their own set of gloves, it will cut down on the risk of transmitting germs to each other as well as protect their hands from touching all of the equipment in the weight room after other students. Having gloves with wrist supports also protects students from possibly injuring themselves while lifting and can add to the motivation to workout when they have the proper equipment. Having lifting gloves will promote the Nevada Academic Content Standards by promoting fitness and exercise and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle through strength training. Students will be learning and understanding movement of the human body by lifting weights and this will teach the students strategies to lead a physically active lifestyle after high school. Content Standard 3.0
