My students need to recognize each other as part of our social group having a round rug will allow them to see each other and me in the midst of our circle time. We daily use music and movement often repeating letters, their sounds, number counting songs with movement and musical instruments. Repetition is key for their retention sometimes we have to repeat a lesson up to 100 times for retention - the write and wipe letter and number books allow this repetition so they can improve their writing skills.
