These items will help my classroom be more exciting and get my students more engaged with the content so they can create a deeper understanding of the mathematical concepts. Lecture and independent work is not always the best way to learn math and I believe with these supplies we will be better able to have effective group activities, projects, and captivating lessons that will stimulate their critical thinking, support collaboration, and assist with their learning overall. I will also be able to offer my students the supplies they need that they are unable to get from home, such as notebooks, folders, paper, pens, pencils, lead, erasers, and glue, so they can focus on the learning instead of where they are going to get the materials. Currently my students are working on Related Standard: A.CED.A.2-1 - Create linear, exponential, and quadratic equations in two or more variables to represent relationships between quantities and graph equations on coordinate axes with labels and scales. Limit exponentials to have integer inputs only *(Modeling Standard), as we are creating equations in slope-intercept, standard, and point-slope forms. My students will also benefit from this materials for the Standard for Mathematical Practice #3 and #4 during group work and collaboration: Construct viable arguments and critique the reasoning of others, and Model with mathematics.
