Getting these materials will help my students put the hands-on application to what we are learning in class. This will make the learning connection so much greater. It is one thing to talk about how to remove sutures, it is a completely different experience to actually take them out and go through the entire process. This really drives in the hands-on applications of a medical assistant. The trauma shears will help ensure that all students will be able to practice their splinting and bandaging techniques at the same time. With the supplies donated, you are giving my students a step ahead and helping them prepare for the workforce. Using the flashcards in class for games and studying for their National Certification can be so much more helpful than just me talking to them. With the study materials, I am also able to put them into small groups to help each other learn more. Not having access to actual surgical instruments, those cards will help the students to identify the equipment they will be working with on a daily basis. Most of my students come from a low socioeconomic background. I want to set them up for success! They will be able to utilize all the tools and be grateful for the small tokens to carry them into the healthcare field. Thank you for helping my students to succeed.
