The instruments and materials in this project will be used to engage students in learning skills on modern band instruments which can be much more exciting and also more transferrable than many of the traditional general music instruments. It will help us dive into topics like rock and blues chord progressions, different types of beats, groovy bass lines and drones, and rock vocals. I will also be able to host an after school enrichment program in which students can play together and learn songs they want to learn, fostering teamwork and investment in classroom topics!

About my class
