  • Let's Read About Science!

    Funded Oct 4, 2021

The Scholastic Super Science magazines and online resources have been a wonderful asset to our science classroom. The students enjoy learning about new Science news, animals from around the world, and fun adventures with science. As a teacher I am able to align the articles with things that we are learning about in the classroom. Each magazine has life science, enineering, earth science, life science, and cool steam job articles that are age appropriate and interesting articles. Once a week, we focus on a few articles at a time so that the students can dive in and explore the sciences in detail.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Heather Bates

  • Print my Hard Work, Please!

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

We are sooooooo excited about having a printer to use in our classroom for our projects. Our favorite pieces to print so far has been our poetry writing with graphics. The students have spent so much time brainstorming and writing in their writing journals that they were excited to be able to print the projects to take home and share with their families. We were also able to post the writings in our classroom for everyone to enjoy. The students have really worked hard on preparing their projects to be able to have a colorful, professional looking document to present. We will began our virtual tour of the united states next week and we will be using our printer to print our state report when we are complete!!! Thank you for helping to bring smiles to my students faces. They are very proud of the work that they have completed.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Heather Bates

The enthusiastic kindergarteners that come to school every day are excited to learn. Our school is in an urban district with a very high poverty rate. The students are very successful with visuals and this carpet would be a constant reminder of numbers and the alphabet The students deserve a classroom environment that is warm, inviting, and colorful.
