• Saving the Masterpiece!

  I am so honored to be able to write this letter. This has been a long awaited dream of ours to have received actual snare drums.

  These are not just regular snare drums, but marching snare drums. These are actual drums that high school marching bands use. I am currently figuring out how to attach the parts.

• Hungry Performers Need Fuel!

Your generosity affords for my performers to be able to have energy and stamina for our afterschool performances. The look on their faces was priceless when they saw the mail they received. • Music With Reading and Writing!

  Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity towards my students. My students are now equipped to be literate in music and language arts through their general music class. These supplies came just in time for our Black History Month writing assignment. The students will be writing about their favorite African American musician or artist. They will describe why their work impacts them and how music or art can influence others.

  When the students saw the materials, they were super excited that they no longer had to write on the carpet with their paper and pencils!

• Boomwhackers Are the Best! Let’s Make Music!

  Your donations have created an opportunity that I could not create on my own. I want to send my deepest gratitude to you for choosing to donate to my students. My students have been enjoying the new boom whacker instruments and have learned so many things. With these new resources, I have created a curriculum to help the students play diatonic major scales. The students now know how to identify high and low sounds/pitches in a practical way. They also know how to play different songs, melodies and chords.

  This new learning tool has created endless opportunities for ensembles and ways for the students to express themselves through music. The students are learning so much more, thanks to you!”

• Percussion for Kids!

  My students are very happy to be using these new resources to use in our music class! My students now have the chance to experience exploration with sound by creating their own musical instrumentation with the different instruments. My students can now grow as composes by creating their own rhythm patterns, within their own mini ensembles groups.

  My students are also able to perform bucket drumming with the brand new drum sticks. The look on their faces made my heart feel very warm. I am very happy that they are able to have more great opportunities, because of donors like you!”

• Forest Lake NASA Elementary School Music Needs

  Thank you for being so kind during these times! My students are so thankful and appreciative for your generosity by providing the funding to purchase new instruments. This is so humbling and overwhelming to know how many people give from their hearts. It is inspiring and encouraging to be a part of this process.

  When my students saw the new xylophone, they cheered in excitement. I could not wait to share the good news with them. They will never forget these moments of generosity and will carry it with them wherever they go. Those who donated are great examples of what it means to be generous and compassionate.

  Our next steps as a class is to use these resources to perform at our end of year grade level performances. These Eagles will be so proud to play what they've learned and showcase their confidence and abilities.”
