Funded Apr 15, 2022I have been able to use the Indi car robots in class several times between the end of last school year and the beginning of this year. Last year, we did activity stations and one of them included the Indi cars. Students were able to explore the robots and figure out how they work and what each colored tile does. This year, I've already been able to do a lesson with second grade using the Indi cars. We talked about the scientific method and made predictions about what we think the car will do on each colored tile. Then students were able to test their theories and record their results.
Students of all grade levels were so excited to see we had new robots to play and learn with. Kindergarteners and Fifth Graders alike were eager to figure out how these little robots work. And this year, the Second Graders were ecstatic they would each get a chance to experiment with them. They're all looking forward to another chance to play with them.
I hope throughout the year I'll be able to do more lessons with more grade levels using these robots. I know they are enhancing our learning environment and they help get the kids excited to learn more about technology. I also like that they help introduce unexpected concepts like the scientific method. All of this is thanks to your donation to our school. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Freeman
