My students have been learning virtually for nearly 2 years, and have missed out on engaging in critical thinking, problem-solving, and analysis. Looking at computer screens doesn't allow students to fully engage in any materials, let alone to critically analyze primary or secondary sources, or use history to solve real-world problems. Students need to engage in materials in their hands that can be copied, and added to an organized notebook system and create quality products and allowing for strong collaboration. For too long students were only allowed to work independently from their own computers, let's get them talking and working together again! These materials will allow students to engage in primary and secondary sources from various time periods of history, and the computer will allow me as a teacher to create lesson plans and give them these sources to physically work with. Thank you for your support in helping my students advance in critical thinking, problem solving, and analysis in World History. The printer, laminating machine and books and resource materials will go far in helping my students make real-world connections after more than a year of pandemic learning. These fun-educational projects will help with students’ social, emotional, and mental well-being that has been impacted as a result of COVID-19.
