  My students and I are forever grateful for your generous donation. With their new chromebooks, my students have been able to access their math apps more consistently. Before, we were constantly short of chromebooks so students struggled to complete their math work when working independently on computer apps or in differentiated small groups. Now all of my students have adequate access and their achievement levels have dramatically improved. These chromebooks are also essential for test days as all of our tests are now online.”

• Engaging in Math Discourse With the Help of Technology

  Thank you very much for your generous donation. student communication of math reasoning has been greatly enhanced in my math class. students get very excited when their work is displayed on the apple tv. This is an absolute game changer because it means I don't have to waste instructional time on asking students to write their work on the board over again or summarize student reasoning for them. Students can now devote their cognitive load on sharing their math reasoning which generates much more discussion compared to before we had the ipad.”

These chromebooks will allow me to plan differentiated small group instruction more often which will ensure all students get the high quality education they deserve. These chromebooks are touch screen which allows students to more easily maneuver the apps they work with such as IXL and Zearn.”

  Thanks to your generous donation, my students have the tools they need to participate in an active, engaging math class. Every day my classroom is full of smiles and my students tell me all the time that they enjoy math class. Now, students can easily show their work to their peers which makes math dialogue much easier. When students can talk about their math reasoning with others, it greatly enhances their mastery of math concepts. Students now come to my class with excitement and day by day their math identities are strengthened.”

• Students Can Show Their Work Without Going to the Board!

  thanks to your generous donation, my students are able to see the work of their classmates on the projector with the click of a button! This has greatly improved student collaboration in my classroom as students are able to very quickly see the work and hear the reasoning of their peers. This allows students to fix mistakes, deepen their understanding of math concepts, and to understand there are multiple ways to solve a math problem. Students are so excited when they see I have highlighted their math work for all to see.”

• Making Math Thinking Visible!

  Ever since we received our pencil sharpeners, ever student has a writing tool readily available. Now there are no longer long pencil sharpening lines and students can focus on what really matters: learning math. My students appreciate having a heavy duty pencil sharpener that quickly gets the job done available to them. When my students first saw the pencil sharpener, they were very excited; especially those students who I had in previous years and had experienced the drawbacks of cheap pencil sharpeners first hand.”

• Help us Participate in Hands-on Learning in Math Class!

  I am using the donated laminator to laminate task cards for in-lesson activities and also differentiated small group instruction. Task cards are utilized to help students understand math concepts with group members. In some activities for example, students match all equations with the same answer or all graphs that are proportional. For differentiated small group instruction, students work in leveled stations that help them fill in learning gaps. My students love task card activities because they are highly engaging but they are also able to write on their answers and show their work directly on the cards.”

• Making Math Thinking Visible!

  The electric pencil sharpener is still going strong. My students were very happy and relieved to have an electric pencil sharpener that works efficiently. No more are there long lines of students waiting around idly to sharpen their pencils. Now students can spend their time on what matters most: learning.

  The dry erase markers have worked wonders at helping students to make their math thinking visible. Students are able to write on their white boards and also laminated task cards to share their thinking with their classmates.”
