4 Square Volleyball will promote motor skill development to support my students as they develop skills necessary to play volleyball. Beginning volleyball players lack the motor skills necessary to compete on a regulation volleyball court with 6 players on each team. 4 Square Volleyball will help students build motor skills and increase confidence for when they develop into competitive volleyball games. Content Standard 1.0: Demonstrate competency in motor skills, movement patterns and safety needed to perform a variety of physical activities. Apply locomotor and non-locomotor movements into physical activities (1.8.1). Execute moderate and complex motor skills and movement patterns within physical activities (1.8.3)
