I serve deaf and hard of hearing students in a rural NC county. Many of these students wear hearing aids, bone anchored hearing aids, and cochlear implants . These students have poor phonological processing skills due to the hearing loss that make it challenging to " sound out" words when they spell. I would like to order these students "spell check books" which are quick ways to locate and identify high frequency words in order to increase spelling accuracy when completing spelling assignments. These students are at a variety of grade levels 1st- 12th grade and many of them have other disabilities including dyslexia, intellectual disabilities, and speech-language deficits. These spell check books are easy to use and assist students in gaining self confidence and independence in writing skills .
