  • The Perfect Catch: Baseball Equipment for Middle Schoolers

    Funded Apr 22, 2024

Thank you so much for your generosity and support of the wonderful students of Jordan Community School. This baseball equipment will not only allow students interested in baseball to practice their skills but also allow students who may be interested in the sport to explore different aspects of it such as pitching and catching. My students were so grateful for these donations and they will be utilized for years to come.

I hope that your unselfishness and goodness is returned to you tenfold because of your ongoing positive impact on these kids. Be well!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Hobbs

  • Headphones for Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing

    Funded May 14, 2024

Thank you so much for your generosity and support of the wonderful students of Jordan Community School! These headphones have already had a positive impact in the short time we have had them and it has been amazing to the growth of my students, especially those that are English language learners. Seeing their confidence grow with each day along with their language skills has made me happy and their transition to a new school, new city, and new country less anxiety provoking.

Your positive impact on these students will go a long way to helping them acquire more English language skills in the areas of listening and reading as well as writing and speaking. We cannot thank you enough!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Hobbs

  • Another One Fights the Dust

    Funded Dec 30, 2023

Thank you so much for providing me with the appropriate cleaning supplies to ensure that my students and I can maintain a clean, healthy classroom environment for everyone. These supplies will help us prevent the spread of illnesses and germs as well as provide students with some accountability in keeping their learning areas clean.

This disinfectant spray and sweeper are essential tools in most classrooms and they will help us ensure that our learning environment is not only calm and inviting but also pristine and unsullied after every school day. A million thanks again!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Hobbs

  • Headphones for English Language Learners

    Funded Oct 25, 2023

Thank you so much for your generosity and willingness to support the middle school students here at Jordan Community School. These headphones will not only positively impact this year's students but future students who attend this school as well.

These headphones will allow our English language learners to better engage with lesson materials presented in their non native languages as well as provide diverse learners with auditory support during reading intensive activities. Your gratitude is so greatly appreciated and we hope that it is returned to you tenfold.”

    With gratitude,

  • Basic Supplies for End of the Year

    Funded Apr 6, 2023

Thank you so much for giving my students access to some much needed supplies. They, and my future classes as well, were able to be prepared for all writing tasks and even became effective incentive rewards for my students. Your continued commitment and generosity will have a continued positive impact within Jordan School for many years to come.

Many of us have been through so much within these past few years and I can only imagine what it must be like to be a child through all of it. But despite these tough times, great people like you show that thoughtfulness, compassion, and teamwork can make us all prosper. Thank you so much again and I hope that your kindness is returned to you tenfold!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Hobbs

  • Sturdy Writing Utensils for Quirky Scholars

    Funded Dec 15, 2021

Thank you so much for helping me support the learning of all my students and giving them the chance to be prepared to learn in every class. My students love the mechanical pencils and are learning valuable organizational skills as they are prone to keep track of this writing tool more than one day. Next steps would to continue to build upon these organizational skills and make my students more self sufficient by teaching them to utilize planners, calendars, and/or schedules. Thanks again for your contribution and support!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Hobbs

These mechanical pencils and pens will allow my student's access to sturdy, long lasting writing utensils. Some of my students are obsessively sharpening their lead pencils throughout the day or easily lose track of them and need a new one every class period. Having a mechanical pencil or pen would allow them to continue writing without interruption for longer periods of time as well as decrease the likelihood of work avoidance behaviors and potential distractions during large group instruction. Mechanical pencils and pens are sought after by my students over lead pencils in almost all circumstances. The differing tactile grips allows my students to continue practicing their fine motor skills as well as their overall organization skills. These writing tools will not only promote independence and responsibility among the diverse learners I teach but also create a more fluid and productive learning environment for everyone.
