The students in my class need to have their emotional needs met before they can actively participate in class. This year during the pandemic, students have been very shy to speak which is where the white boards will come into play and help student have a voice even when they do want to necessarily speak in front of the class. My students need help with organization with their classroom supplies (folders and composition notebooks) that they store in the classroom because of their at home situations many of them are not able to bring them home and back to school. We will use the crate in our classroom to help keep student supplies in place. Students need a lot of support in their behaviors this year due to having a majority of last school year off. I will use all the treasure box toys as incentives for positive behaviors in the classroom environment. The students this year feel particularly shy about speaking in well lit classrooms, I would like to utilize the lights in my classroom to have the classroom lit up but in a way that students feel comfortable and like they are able to share their feelings and not be judged. The students in my classes are not able to afford pencils regularly and rely on me to supply them pencils to get their work done in class. Due to COVID-19 a lot of families are struggling to support their kids needs for school. SS.6-8.WGGS.26. Examine the origins, purposes, and impact of laws, treaties, and international agreements. These items will help support the standard above by allowing us to have group discussions verbally and non verbally whichever way students learn best . These items will allow students to work in a classroom space designed to feel safe.
