  • Creating a Positive Classroom

    Funded Nov 18, 2023

Thank you for contributing to my classroom this year. Your generosity helped me to provide classroom materials for my 140ish 6th graders at Carson Middle School. All of the items that have been purchased have helped to make my classroom a safe and inviting environment for students. The white boards help me to keep students organized and up to date on important information and the posters in the picture are valuable references for student to use when writing etc. These are only a few of the items I was able to purchase with your donations. I appreciate each and every one of you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Kingman

  • Reading Restart

    Funded Jul 24, 2023

Thank you very much for donating to my project. We just started reading Restart in my classroom and students have been excited to read it! They ask to read each day and are disappointed when we have other content to tackle. They are connecting with the characters in the story and learning life lessons through this book. It is my hope that this book will help them to discover the fun of reading. None of this would have been possible without your support! I am beyond grateful that you took the time to think of my students and I and to support us in our learning this year!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Kingman

  • Wonder and Wobble

    Funded Oct 27, 2021

Thank you so much for contributing to our classroom at Fritsch Elementary through the Wonder and Wobble project. My students have been thoroughly enjoying the flexible seating options as well as the class novel set that I was able to buy with your generous donations.

The novel, Wonder, has tied in nicely with our Social and Emotional Learning curriculum and given us a great opportunity to discuss topics such as bullying, kindness and what makes each of us unique. Students have loved that the characters are relatable, it is funny, and it also cover some hard topics.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Kingman

I will use this book to reinforce the SEAD-5 Social and Emotional Competencies and talk through topics like friendship, bullying, and standing up for others. I have noticed that many of these skills are lacking after time without school and social interaction. It will also hit many of our literacy standards including RL 5.2. The wobble stools will also help students to feel comfortable as they learn and provide a good option for those students who struggle to focus while sitting in a traditional seat. Overall, these items will help me to create a comfortable learning environment for students both physically and emotionally.
