The Cricut Maker 3 will help my students is a variety of ways. First off, it will allow them to learn how to use technology in order to make their ideas come to life. They will have to learn how to use an app, that will allow them to use the Cricut 3 for group projects (lettering, Science boards (Science 3-5-ETS1), create a business model to learn fractions(5.NF.A,B), etc.) This will allow students to be excited about their learning and will help fulfill their need to strengthen their interpersonal skills, something that they were not able to practice last year due to the pandemic. My goal is for the students to also use the Cricut to create "Student Made Anchor Charts" because as we know, the best way to learn somethings is to teach someone else how to do it. For example, one of the 5th grade Math standards is Math 5.NBT.B.5 Fluently multiply multi-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm. The students will work in groups to create one of a kind anchor charts that they will use to present their strategy to the class. The Cricut Maker 3 will also be used to create student work bulletin boards and anchor charts that will assist the students in their learning, thus helping them to make growth towards proficiency in all subjects and standards. The final way the Cricut Maker 3 will benefit the students is to help them spread our message of creativity and inclusivity. They will use it to make team shirts, and gifts for acts of kindness that they witness. The possibilities are endless and extremely exciting!
