Modern Band for International HS

This year has been quite a year at Pan American International High School. Transitioning back to in-person learning was a feat in and of itself. On top of that it is the first year that the school has a music program. The school provided acoustic guitars at the beginning of the year which ended up being a hit with many students but so many others wanted to try different instruments. They wanted to form a school band to perform the music that they know and identify with.

Immediately upon the arrival of the new instruments provided through Donors Choose students were engaged and excited about trying and learning them. We were able to successfully form an after school band program for 9th and 10th graders AND form a Music Elective Band class for Seniors during the regular school day. The Senior elective class has been working hard and are proud to be performing Cumbia and Rock songs at our schools upcoming talent show as well as at their graduation ceremony which are both in June.

Everyone at Pan American International HS is so grateful for your donation. Because of your generosity, our students are able to enjoy and have an experience they will never forget. For many of them this musical seed that has been planted will most definitely continue to grow for years to come.”
