I am requesting headphones for my students. I have created a series of interactive lessons where students who require the "text to speech" accommodation will have the ability to read content material on grade level. Our Science curriculum has a text book that is written on grade level. There is a read aloud option, however with 23-25 students in a room the noise can be distracting. These headphones will make a world of difference. Students will be able to read at their own pace and replay parts of a text that are confusing. When there are self-paced lessons students can also watch video clips that I've embedded in the lesson when they're ready to. I do not want a student's inability to read on grade level to prevent them from learning grade level skills and vocabulary. These headphones will provide the quality and comfort that my students deserve! Please consider donating.
