  • Color Printer to Enhance STEAM!

    The color printer has been a bona fide hit in our classroom!

    Students have been able to add photos to enhance their writing - such as "Which Green Transportation Solution is Best?" Most recently, they have been able to add color images to their UN Sustainability PSA posters in creating a mixed media product.

    From the teacher side, I have been able to print student photos in color and display them on our doors and walls.

    Your generous donation has truly brought our classroom environment from stark black and white to bursting with a rainbow of hues.

  • Bean Bags and Headphones To Enhance Learning!

    Students look forward to every opportunity they have to sit on our cozy classroom beanbags and work together with a partner on Zearn (math curriculum program), read, and work on Scratch and other coding programs.

    Now, with their own personal headphones, students can work at their own pace on Zearn, iReady (personalized learning program), Brainpop, Scratch, and youtube art tutorials without losing their concentration while also not being a distraction to others.

  • Growth Mindset All Around!

    Funded May 11, 2023

    Thank you so much for funding my project "Growth Mindset All Around"! Our classroom is popping with the positive and affirming statements from the growth mindset posters. It was so helpful to have the posters up from the first day of school and have students walk into our positive mindset classroom environment.

    The sheet protectors were also up from day 1 and quickly filled with students' abstract self-portraits and their affirming "I Am" poems. Students have gained a sense of ownership of their classroom space with their writing and art proudly displayed on the walls.

    I know that I myself have gotten a boost with walking in each and every day into our growth mindset-minded classroom space!”

  • Bringing the Color and Cozy to the Classroom

    Thank you for bringing the "cozy and color" to my classroom this year!

    My class was so excited as we unboxed our brand new bean bags. The bean bags immediately added to the warmth and appeal of our rug area. Whenever students are able to work there - either helping each other with their daily online math practice, working on their group google slides project together, or reading quietly with friends - they are excited and feel invited.

    The color pencils were also a big hit! Each student having their individual sets has allowed them to invest more time and effort into their art projects as well as adding art to their writing assignments.

  • Bringing the Color and Cozy to the Classroom

    Funded May 3, 2022

    Thank you so much for your thoughtful and generous donation! The colorful markers and bean bags have truly enhanced our classroom environment in a visible manner.

    When students need to retreat, regroup, and refresh, they ask to go to the bean bags. Also when two students want to read or work in collaboration, they go to the bean bags and feel a sense of coziness and excitement.

    The markers have added pop and pizazz to students art work and posters. By being fine tip markers, they have allowed students to exercise fine motor skills as they add color.
