  • Snacking to Fuel Kindergarten

    Funded Feb 16, 2024

Thank you so much for helping me help my students! The students have enjoyed the daily snacks! These snacks help fuel them through the afternoon slump. The snacks also boost their energy so that they have a strong finish to their day. We greatly appreciate each and every person that donated to this cause! The snacks will last through the spring semester, which is until the end of the school year. The students and myself cannot express just how appreciative and grateful we are to have received the items from this project! Thank you all so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Gordon

  • Snack Fuel in Kindergarten

    Funded Oct 11, 2023

Thank you all so very much for contributing to this project. The students were excited to receive these snacks. They cheered when they saw the boxes arrive. Each daily snack gave them the energy for a strong finish to their day full of learning. The students and I were all filled with gratitude for the snacks, but more importantly for the donors of this project. Without everyone's help, this project would not have been funded and my students may have gone without snack time to power them up and fuel their learning. Thank you all!”

  • Kindergarten, Your Tables Are Ready!

    Funded Aug 30, 2023

Thank you tremendously for helping myself and the students get these tables. They have been a huge aid in getting students to collaborate successfully in academic tasks as well as extracurricular activities. The tables also allow the students to create a stronger and closer community within the classroom amongst their peers. The students were extremely excited when the tables arrived and they still enjoy sitting in a group setting. The tables also helped me give the students more responsibility in the classroom as each table has table managers that change every few weeks and each table is responsible for keeping their tables clean throughout the day. Thank you all very much!”

  • Tech Savvy Kindergarten

    Funded Jan 23, 2023

Thank you all so much for donating so that I could buy technology for my students. The ipads have been a big hit during free choice stations time. During reading stations, they are able to work independently using educational technology such as Imagine Literacy, Education.com and Reading A-Z. During math stations, they are able to work independently using educational technology such as Zearn, Imagine Math and Education.com. The ipads allow for students to have multiple opportunities in practicing the needed skills for reading, such as letter recognition, letter sound recognition, and blending letter sounds to read words. The ipads allow for students to also practice the needed skills for math, such as counting, adding and subtracting.”

  • Rowdy Readers in Kindergarten

    Funded Mar 22, 2022

I am writing this letter to thank you all for your generous donations to my class' education. The money you donated was used for crucial materials needed to support their reading education. My students were thrilled to receive these items. With these items, they explored letters, letter sounds and word building skills with hands on manipulatives which further helped develop their language and letter sense. Thank you all so much for your donations you have not only helped my current students, but also my future students with your generosity.”

  • A Handful of Learning

    Funded Nov 14, 2021

The students and I appreciate your generosity! Without each and every one of you, we would not have these amazing resources! We are using the resources to help us build understanding through hands on activities during lessons, small group instruction and stations. These resources are creating high quality opportunities for hands on learning experiences. The students were extremely excited to receive and use the new materials. A next step for the students includes continuing to build foundational literacy skills such as letter recognition and letter sounds, which will help with beginning to read. Another next step includes continuing to build numerical skills such as number recognition, counting objects and representing numbers, which will help with addition and subtraction. The students and I are very grateful for these resources!”

These materials will allow students to learn through hands on experiences. For example, my students can expand their letter sound and recognition skills by utilizing the crayon word building set. My students can also decompose and compose numbers by using the magnetic ten frame boards. The double sided magnetic boards will aid my students in manipulating words during phonics. The magnetism of these boards will allow students to hold up their work and show the class without destroying their work. The colorful timer can help my students become more autonomous during certain parts of the day, because it can be student operated. There are a lot of great tools in this project that can help the students really dive into their learning and make the most out of their time in the classroom this year.
