Crack Open that Book - Tradition Meets Technology
Funded Oct 30, 2021My students completed a holiday project using a play from "A Christmas Carol" and they enjoyed the project! They loved the technology gifted to us as well as the supplies. Having new supplies made them feel special. Some students preferred to read the play from a monitor and they used the mic (batteries used). They enjoyed participating in the play!
I used the resources to create projects that allow students to use their kinesthetic skills. Creating projects that allow students to work creatively made the learning fun. Also allowing students to participate in various ways made their learning more enjoyable. Some students relied on technology while others preferred paper to read the play. Using the air purifier, helped them feel safer (with the pandemic) and they were able to feel more at ease in the classroom. They enjoyed creating their project with the supplies (glue, colored paper, crayons) and were so proud to have it displayed on the wall. There were enough resources so that they didn't have to share materials making it safer during this pandemic. Thank you so much. Watching my students take pride in their work is priceless.
Currently, we are working on writing a narrative story. My students will be working collaboratively using the monitor to create a story using a video clip. Students will be using the resources (paper, folders, glue, sticky notes) as they work through the lessons. Thank you so much for supporting me and my students.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Lu-Perez
