My students will use the dot markers to count, add, and color. We frequently use ten frames, where students use dot markers to count or use two different colors to demonstrate adding and subtracting. The plastic bowls will be used to sort coins and shapes. Students also use these to hold the tokens they earn during the day. Lastly, the magnatiles will be used for encoding and decoding words. Students will use the magnatiles to encode a word. They will work on spelling cvc words, digraphs and vowel teams by sounding the words out and writing the letters on the magnatiles.
