CrossFit (Functional Fitness) is a new course being offered at my school this year. As such we are trying to build our program equipment so that students can participate in the activities safely and effectively. I am fully aware of the challenges that CrossFit presents to many of our most elite athletes let alone a high school student with no experience. As such I need a foundation of equipment that will help them build their strength up to where they can use the standard equipment in our gym (45 lbs bars, un-assisted pull-ups, etc.). The equipment will help me teach my students the proper form as well as develop their confidence and their strength throughout this course. Content Standard 2.12.2: Analyze strategies used in physical activity settings to improve movement skills.
