  • Mental Health Super Stars

    The books that you so kindly helped us purchase provide coping skills, information and a way to relax for our students. Many focus on mental health strategies and journaling techniques.

    I am a counselor so I don't have a classroom, but I provide these books to teachers and other school professions so that they are available for students. Students read these in social/emotional groups or individually.

    The students who most enjoy the books are those who are struggling with anxiety, self control, self image, and many other mental health issues.”

These resources will help me meet the Nevada Counseling standards B-SS 1: Design and implement instruction aligned to ASCA Mindsets & Behaviors for Student success in large-group, classroom, small-group and individual setting; B-PF 6: Demonstrate understanding of the impact of cultural, social and environmental influences on student success and opportunities; B-PF 9: Create systemic change through the implementation of a comprehensive school counseling program. Our students were greatly affected by the year away from face-to-face school due to COVID in regards to relational and social emotional skills. I will use these items to provide students with classroom and individual lessons to help them better thrive in the school and home environment.
