My superstar heroes have endured so much but they will continue to persevere even though they may not have the everyday essentials. In my class, my students will receive an unprecedented world class education along with on grade level, texts, activities, and hands on activities to help them get to the next level. By receiving a donation of various types of books from a different genres, such as Magic Tree House to National Geographic. They will get exposed to different types of characters and lifestyles when they read a wider range of writing. For example, their favorite fantasy novels may spark their imagination, but true tales of life halfway around the world can trigger interest in traveling and foster understanding of other cultures. It helps them develop a broad perspective on the world around them. I have also included, many hands-on activities such as multiplication bingo and sight words. Hands-on activities allow children to use their senses while learning. They see, touch, and move real objects to complete tasks. This means that letters, numbers, shapes, colors, and more are brought to life! Children begin to understand the meaning behind what they are doing. Children get excited and engaged because they are having FUN! They have a longer attention span. This helps them to build knowledge and increase their long-term memory. Children will strengthen their fine motor development. They learn control, communication, concentration and dedication to finishing tasks and problem solving skills. Lesson objectives are clear and measurable. There is little dependence on worksheet-type activities. Lessons are highly interactive, and students remain engaged in meaningful activities. Activities are varied to meet the needs of all learners. Technology is used, thoughtfully, to enhance lessons and learning. I will also have a VIP station.
