Third graders love reading! Each day, students spend a portion of their day reading with classmates and or reading independently. This is one of the highlights of their school day. Having books, for the students, that tie into the curriculum and reinforce the topics being covered helps to give them a full range experience! The children are able to build background knowledge and further their learning. Each and every day students have time allotted for research reading. They then write about their research reading and share what they've learned with classmates.
