• Building a Thinking Classroom

  My students are getting so much from the materials we got to help build a thinking classroom. We do collaborative work on our vertical white boards almost daily, and many times throughout a day. Our school is the Wildcats, so the paw erasers are a great bonus!

  We are going through dry erase markers but I love the thinking I am seeing on our boards.

  We are also loving our new additional flexible seating, allowing for more choice in seating for students and for teachers who I collaborate with.

• Flexible Seating!

  My students are already using and loving the flexible seating options added to our room! They love the wobble chairs and would love to even have more of them!

  They are also loving that we have more yoga ball seating as that is always a popular option in my room.

  This kind of seating variety allows for students to choose how they sit and allow them some movement in their seating. This has proven to be great for many of my students. I am so grateful to have more options to offer them as they come into my room.

  I love that we now have better storage for our growing game collection as well.”

• Game to Learn Schoolwide

  Thank you so much for fulfilling this awesome project! The games you helped bring to my school are being used by students in Grades k-5. I have been using games to teach creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and sportsmanship. They also align with a bit of our curriculum.

  Students who are identified for the gifted program use some of the more advanced games, while the whole school benefits from visiting my room at least once a quarter to learn and play a new game.

  The students enjoy the games and are being exposed to a variety of great games they can share with their families to purchase for home use.

  I continue to grow my teaching with games the more games I acquire.”

• Masterpiece Bookclub

  Funded Oct 21, 2021

  Thank you so much for your generous donations to bring these books to my Title 1 school. These books will be used in an upcoming book club with high readers in the 4th grade who are not already identified for our gifted program. The hope is to increase dialogue and expose them to a broader range of literature. I hope to provide enriching writing projects and STEM learning to go with the book in order to increase learning and retention. The hope is to garner more gifted referrals from this book club as well!”
