I can not begin to tell you in all the words I want, the impact your act of kindness has done for my students. If you could have been here as they opened our packages, viewed all the wonderful classroom materials and resources we received. You too would have been so overjoyed as my heart was that day! As they received the material they were overjoyed with emotion.

The interest ignited is just what we needed! Reading is the foundation to all things we do in life. It takes a lot to bring about interest in something as complex as reading and writing. With the materials granted, I was able to create classroom resources to support and aid in their learning process!

We are so grateful for the act of kindness bestowed upon our class contributing a powerful impact to our learning and reading abilities!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Wunstel

  • Cozy or Not, Read We COME!

I can not begin to tell you in all the words I want, the impact your act of kindness has done for my students. If you could have been here as they opened our packages, viewed all the wonderful books we received, and organized them on our bare shelves, you would have been so overjoyed as my heart was that day! They took so much pride in their personal library and really enjoyed discussing all the different books to students who may have not read them. This sparked so much interest in my students having them wanting to read rights away!

The interest ignited is just what we needed! Reading is the foundation to all things we do in life. It takes a lot to bring about interest in something as complex as reading. I have seen so many students opening more books than I ever had. They love getting through their work just so they can pull a book from our library and READ! This is amazing! We have been able to use our new books to help us tell Narratives, have conversations of how stories are created, and build our thoughts. We are able to use our stories to establish our own tales, create actions, and engage in great collaboration!

We are so grateful for the act of kindness bestowed upon our class contributing a powerful impact to our learning and reading abilities!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Wunstel

By adding a library filled with encouraging books to our classroom, children will have extra tools to aid in their literary and academic success. Books help students escape the stress onset by school academics. But, what they do not realize, while they think they are escaping, they are building other foundations aiding in their successes. They will have the support of books to help build literacy skills, engaging in motivational sources/books, build critical thinking skills as well as become informed, systematic readers; all of which are vital to develop higher levels of focus and concentration. I want to try a "read a book to your siblings" project to kick start our youths interest in reading. I feel that young siblings look up to the older, so what better use of books than encouraging and setting examples! So, there is a possibility these books can be used for learning at home as well!
