  • We Are Empowered

    Room 701 has been in a total bliss with our new resources. You donated bean bags that have been my students favorite spot to complete work. The bean bag area surrounded by books you have also provided has been a staple in our classroom, we cannot get enough of it.

    As boxes began to be delivered , my students gazed at what new items they were about to indulge in. The basics like white board markers, new headphones, and pencils have made our everyday learning routine better. Also, you have given my class a new electric pencil sharpener that has been a game changer. Thank you for everything.”

  • Yes, We Are Important! Si, Somos Importante!

    thank you for your extremely generous donations. Each item was carefully and intentionally picked to help diversify our classroom library. And thanks to you, we have been able to enjoy books about influential hispanic heroes to animals native to Mexico, Central America, and South America.

    WIth your donations, my students have been taking turns reading aloud their pick. Each day they are eager to see which book they will be exposed to. We especially love when our native Spanish speakers can read the text in Spanish to everyone. This just proves, Yes, we are imporant, somos importante!”

  • Our Reading Spot

    Our reading spot has been the ultimate hit! All of my students' eyes lit up when I opened the boxes. The eagerness as I showed them what you have provided for us. I explained to them that the 2 bean bags and saucer chair were courtesy of wonderful donors that wanted to provided us with an area to get lost into books.

    It is safe to say that my students wish they could spend all day in our reading spot. The bean bags are constantly calling their names. Students love reading their books in the fluffy green bean bag and love working on their tasks while sitting comfortably in the saucer chair. They never want to leave the reading spot. It is the heart and comfort of our classroom.”

Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read. All of these books, earbuds, and other materials have been chosen with my students in interests in mind. I have asked the class what types of books they would like to see in our library and have watched what they've been reading throughout the year. Having interesting books to choose from will motivate my students to continue reading and help them become stronger, radiant readers.
