Our homeroom class focuses on the topic of social justice and we do this through photography. Each year, students explore their own backgrounds/identities, and interests by conducting research and taking photographs. It has been difficult to showcase these things without materials, and we are often looking all over campus for a printer that works, prints photographs correctly, and has color ink. Their big project comes in the form a photo exhibit about a social justice issue they want to bring awareness about. Students spend weeks researching and then figuring out how to tell a story with their photographs. I want my students to feel proud and like the work that they do matters. Having a photo printer in our classroom would absolutely help us accomplish this!
