I am requesting a Spanish Board Book Collection and various readers. Learning to read in a South border town can be a major challenge, with the blend of two cultures you need the right tools to provide a good take off. My students are mostly Hispanic and from low income households so decodable books in English and Spanish will provide my students the right tools and strong practice for easy learning. Phonetics are different on both the English and Spanish languages and giving the student a guide to properly find easy to read words and texts is a plus and decodable books provide this valuable tool in both languages.
