  • Cozy Corner, Resources for Health and Wellness

    Funded Oct 22, 2024

I sincerely mean it when I say it takes a village. I am so grateful for financial support for mental health resources for my cozy corner, from the plethora of books on mental health, the cozy seating, to the bean bags, the calming lotion, and the magnetic shelves, everything. When combined, the items together really make my cozy/ calming corner better.

Aside from the cozy corner, the stress balls and manipulatives have been a class favorite. We pass it around as a "talking ball", so that we when share during class discussions, things are organized.

As always, thank you for continuously supporting my class and my students!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Torres

  • Theatre Classroom Refresh

    Funded Nov 5, 2023

Thank you so much for allotting me the necessary resources to have a safe, effective, and enriching theatre program for all of my students. The musical theatre vocal selections, in particular, have allowed my theatre library to expand so much that we now have, essentially, every vocal selection book from every major classic and contemporary musical. This means most sheet music from musicals that students are wanting to audition with, are now available to them. Audition preparation has always been a stable on musical theatre curriculum and I am so pleased the provided resources can no make the experience just a bit easier. Your assistant is most appreciated.”

  • Script Refresh

    Funded Aug 28, 2022

On behalf of my students, we wish you are heartfelt thank you for supporting my students with supplies and resources that directly impacted their abilities to become stronger actor/singer/dancers.

One of the biggest real-world skills we want our students to develop is the ability to put together a portfolio with monologues and sheet music they can audition with, here and beyond our high school theatre department.

Your generous donation helped facilitate that goal with the purchase of monologue and sheet music books for them to practice with. Through the semester (especially in preparation for our spring musical), many students independently pursued my theatre library for monologues and sheet music they could use for the spring musical and for their audition portfolio. Quick access to monologues and sheet music has long been a goal of mine and I know the long-term success of such an investment is guaranteed. Thank you.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Torres

  • Classroom Refresh for the 2022 Spring Semester (2)

    Funded Jan 31, 2022

Thank you immensely for funding out classroom refresh project. The trendy writing desk provides a flexible and efficient workspace option for my students to work on projects. The Shakespeare poster added some color to our classroom, as well as provided an insightful and permanent informative graphic for students to inquire and study. Further, the B is for Broadway book provided a fun and creative way to discuss theatre history- particularly musical theatre history. We are grateful for items and for the continued support of our Coronado High School Theatre Program!”

  • Growing through Theatre with Mr. T

    Funded Oct 19, 2021

Thank you for the supplies and resources you provided me with for my project. The sheet music greatly assisted with preparing new and returning students with an increased understanding of the dynamics of music and gave many of them the opportunity to have a successful audition for our spring musical. Further the consumables provided for theatre tech gave many the artistic outlet to build and create through multiple mediums. It allowed us to maintain the strong program with had pre-pandemic. Thank you for the wonderful supplies!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Torres
